In the midst of a busy season, Trowbridge Cricket Club is thankful for some much-needed cloud cover.

However, it’s not weather conditions for spin bowlers that has created a real buzz at the Club – it’s the support of sponsors and digital connectivity specialists Cloud Heroes.

For many years the County Ground in Trowbridge has suffered from poor internet connectivity, something other companies had failed to remedy in the past.

Based in Trowbridge and passionate about supporting causes across the county, Cloud Heroes were able to provide a reliable, high speed and secure connection using the company’s infrastructure, which can be tailored to meet any hosting and communication requirements.

The connectivity is a huge boost for the Club and spectators who will be able to enjoy an enhanced match experience with opportunities for real-time fan engagement.

Trowbridge Cricket Club boasts some of the finest facilities in the region and prides itself on offering an inclusive, family-orientated environment. With its online capabilities now up to speed, the Club is looking ahead to a bright future.

Des Gingell from Trowbridge Cricket Club said, “Cloud Heroes have provided a solution for Trowbridge Cricket Club that will bring many benefits for the Club as well as our increasingly tech-savvy spectators.

“Reliable connectivity is expected today, whether that’s at home, work or at a cricket match, so we’re really pleased to be able to offer this to all visitors to the County Ground.”

The connection has not only saved the Club money in the long-term, it has also allowed it to generate a source of revenue from another on-site asset.

Thanks to Cloud Heroes, a garage-workshop belonging to the County Ground buildings also now benefits from a superfast broadband connection.

This has allowed the Club to enhance the offering for a prospective tenant who needed secure, reliable and fast connectivity.

Cloud Heroes was able to share Trowbridge Cricket Club’s connection to the building allowing both the tenant and the Club to enjoy the full benefits.

Peter Wordley, Chief Executive at Cloud Heroes, said, “As a company we’re keen to support our local community. One of the ways we can do this is through helping organisations to ‘level-up’ by providing them with the internet connectivity they need to succeed.

“We’re really pleased to have been able to provide a solution for the Cricket Club that will not only enhance their match day experience and office capabilities but has also allowed them to continue to generate income from a leased building onsite.

“Cloud Heroes would like to wish the Club every success for the rest of the season.”
