It’s not long until The Business Exchange hosts its annual technology awards for Swindon and Wiltshire, The Techies, on Thursday 4th November.
Ahead of awards night we spoke to ShopHub, finalist in the Best Tech Start-up category sponsored by CND to find out how it feels to be recognised by the award scheme.
Founded in Cricklade in 2020, ShopHub is a loyalty app that enables e-commerce stores to easily create their own loyalty programme directly to their store. It was developed to give small businesses access to the same capabilities as large corporations without the need for huge teams or technical knowledge.
Many small businesses currently do not have access to basic loyalty tools, with only two per cent of all online stores having their own loyalty programme. The ShopHub team have high aspirations for their product and their business journey has just begun.
We spoke to Steve McCormick, ShopHub Co-Founder and CEO.
How does it feel to be a finalist?
Being nominated as a finalist for the Best Tech Start-up was completely unexpected and we are over the moon to be considered. It’s a great honour to be in the same category as some seriously outstanding businesses.
What are you planning for awards night?
A remote team get together of course! While I am in Swindon, my co-founders are in London and Bristol, so we plan to get together remotely for the awards night and have celebratory drinks.
What would a Techie Award mean to you and your team?
We have been working so hard the past year and had to overcome many challenges, so for this to be appreciated by being officially recognised by winning a Techie Award as the Best Tech Start-up would really mean the world to us.
How are you sharing the news with your networks?
We’ve made sure to let all our LinkedIn networks know about this amazing opportunity, and we all can’t help ourselves mentioning it in every conversation we have now!
