It’s not long until The Business Exchange hosts its annual technology awards for Swindon and Wiltshire, The Techies, on Thursday 4th November.
Ahead of awards night we spoke to Andrew Longland, Founder of Salisbury-based Futurum Consulting, a finalist in the Best Tech Start-up and Flying the Flag for Swindon and Wiltshire Tech categories.
Futurum Consulting was established in September 2020 to help SMEs and charities operate more efficiently and get the most out of their digital systems. The firm’s core services include digital transformation, system integrations, business process automation and digital strategy development.
How does it feel to be a finalist?
Having only been trading for a year, it’s absolutely amazing to be a finalist in two categories at the Techies. The business has achieved so much in that time, so it’s great to be recognised by our peers.
What are you planning for awards night?
My fiancée and I will be attending the awards night from our home, along with our children and our dog, all of whom are very excited to see who becomes the winner in each category. We will certainly enjoy our treats that The Business Exchange are sending to us for the night!
What would a Techie Award mean to you and your team?
Currently the business is a team of one internally (the one being me!) but I like to think that a number of my business contacts are part of the wider team and I know they are all hopeful for a win on the night. For me personally, it would be absolutely amazing to win. The recognition of being a finalist feels great, but to win a category would be immense.
How are you sharing the news with your networks?
The news has already been shared via both mine and the business’ social media channels (LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter). The Techies Finalist logo has been added to my email signature and the news will also be included in our November e-newsletter and on our website.
