At Black Nova we believe in offering great value in all that we do.

One of our goals is to de-mystify tech and show its positive impact and potential.

“The past few years have been like a rollercoaster for us all, and that doesn’t look like it will change anytime soon,” said Founder and MD, Kyle Holmes.

“While the impact of Covid-19 on our lives seems to finally be ebbing away, we’re faced with recession, rising energy costs and interest rates, which will impact businesses in every sector.

“We can’t help with all of those challenges, but we can help customers spot the key technology trends for 2023 that will help businesses work more efficiently and in turn more successfully.”

  1. Keep your tech updated
  • Ensuring your technology is updated and running on the latest software version should result in improved performance
  • These improvements will lower your data and electricity usage, which is both better for the environment and your pocket.
  • Keep your kit as modern as possible for the above reasons too!
  1. Optimise your website content

Ensure your website uses quality content optimised for search engines. In 2022, Google released multiple algorithm updates, including the ‘helpful content’ update which ensures results are very relevant and useful to the user. This year Google will be doubling down on what constitutes ‘quality’ content. This could affect your website’s visibility or invisibility.

  1. Artificial intelligence and Virtual Reality

We think 2023 will be the year that AI and VR will really become important for our businesses, as well as our daily lives. This can sound and feel scary however, we believe you should embrace these developments, rather than avoid them.

The truth is that AI is already enhancing our lives – for example, assisting in prosthetic limb development for wounded veterans… and most recently experienced for Danielle personally on her Invisalign journey.

  1. Raise your router

This is a tech tip everyone can use, whether you’re a homeowner or a business, and it is easy to achieve. If you want a stronger, more reliable WiFi signal, and your router is on the floor or on a desk, then simply place it somewhere higher.

  • Choose a website host – like us, who has you in mind!

Every website needs a host and chances are your business has been with the same one for a while. But what service and hosting type are you paying for and, importantly, when are you due to renew? Do you know your hosting company by name? Do you have a positive working relationship with your hosting provider? If not – you should, and with us as your host, all of that is possible. Our team are UK based, in-house and friendly.

Being on top of the things you outsource is good practice and knowing when your website hosting deal is up for renewal will give you time to find the best package with a provider that meets and exceeds your needs.  We pride ourselves on being one of the most popular hosting companies in the county and as cPanel authorized partners we offer a first-class service as standard from £100.80 inc. VAT per year – we also offer free migration of your website to us.
