We all like a nice brew in the morning, and the team at Optimum Professional Services are no exception.
This week they combined their love of coffee and cake with fundraising as they took part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
Staff at the accountancy and law firm in Swindon brought cakes, made a brew and took time out of their schedules to raise funds to help the charity. There were so many cakes they were sold over two days!
Macmillan supports people living with cancer and has been running the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning since 1990. This year, the official event takes place on 29th September, but coffee mornings can be held whenever organisers wish.
The coffee morning at Optimum, which raised £80 for the charity, is just one of many regular fundraising events the team stages, which collectively raise thousands of pounds.
Every year, Optimum supports a local good cause, and this year is raising money for mental health charity Swindon and Gloucestershire Mind.
Operations Director, Tracey Heath, said, “We believe it’s important to do our bit and give back to the community which we live and work in, as well as to help with national fundraisers like the Macmillan Coffee Morning. Plus, it’s fun to take part in, and a great way for the team to bond, and enjoy cake at the same time.”
