Coffee, cake and cash for Julia’s House

Jensen Wealth in Marlborough is hosting an International Women’s Day Charity Coffee Morning in support of Julia’s House.

Raising funds for the children’s hospice, the event will take place at Rick Stein’s restaurant on Wednesday 6th March from 9.30am to 11.00am. The morning will bring together women from all walks of life to unite for a noble cause, coinciding with International Women’s Day.

Julia’s House provides vital support and care to children facing life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, and their families. Rick Stein in Marlborough is providing the venue, coffee and cake, meaning that every donation received during the Coffee Morning will go directly to supporting the charity’s mission.

Rachel Jensen, Wealth Manager at Jensen Wealth Management, said, “We are excited to bring together women from the community to celebrate International Women’s Day and make a meaningful contribution to Julia’s House children’s hospice.

“This event is a testament to the power of collective action, and we are grateful for the support of Rick Stein in Marlborough, allowing us to maximise the impact of our fundraising efforts. Having experienced the loss of my sister to a terminal illness, I deeply understand the significance of the services offered by Julia’s House to children and their families. It brings me great joy that we can unite and provide our support to this essential cause.”

Jo Common, Julia’s House Corporate Fundraiser, added, “We are thrilled that Jensen Wealth is hosting this wonderful fundraising coffee morning in aid of Julia’s House. Support from events like these is instrumental in enabling us to be a lifeline for the increasing number of seriously ill children and families relying on our care. We hope it will help raise awareness for the charity too – as one of the simple things the parents we support are grateful for is being able to take a break from caring for their seriously ill child and enjoying a coffee and a chat.

“As a charity Julia’s House only receives around 8% Government funding, so our ability to provide vital services in the community and at our hospice is nearly entirely dependent on public donations, fundraising initiatives and legacies. The comprehensive care we offer is provided completely free to families, thanks to the incredible generosity of the local community.”
