Goughs Solicitors ends 2020 on a high with new appointments

Despite the pandemic, 2020 proved to be a year of growth and success for Wiltshire-based law firm, Goughs Solicitors.

Finishing the year on a high, the company’s Real Estate, Land and Development Team has welcomed two new members – Aimee Glover as Senior Associate Solicitor and Sophie Crawford as Solicitor.

The Goughs Real Estate team specialises in complex housebuilding and development projects for a range of private housebuilders, land promoters and landowners including Redcliffe Homes and Stonewood Partnerships.

Both Aimee and Sophie were previously working for DAC Beachcroft in Bristol.

The appointments follow Goughs recently opening its seventh office at the Greenways business park in Chippenham. The office is home to both the Corporate and the Real Estate teams and is a key business hub for the firm due to its connectivity via the M4 and the rail links with Bristol and London.

Andrew Given, Partner & Head of Real Estate, Land and Development, explained,“The last five years has seen significant growth for the team both in terms of projects and turnover. With Aimee and Sophie joining us, the increase in resource means we can target new business more efficiently whilst continuing to support the ambitions of our existing clients.”

On joining Goughs Solicitors, Aimee commented, “What really attracted me to the team was the diversity of work on offer. From large-scale urban expansion to bespoke mixed-use developments, every site is different and I’m looking forward to managing projects from start to finish.”

Sophie added, “I’m excited to have joined a niche practice with major ambitions. The team spirit and positivity is refreshing and the sky’s the limit when it comes to the next five years. I can’t wait!”

The team of highly experienced lawyers at Goughs Solicitors cover family matters, residential property, corporate and commercial work, commercial property, land and development, dispute resolution, construction employment, wills trusts and probate, personal injury and medical negligence.
