Thames Valley law firm, Gardner Leader, has appointed highly experienced family lawyer, Elizabeth Saunders, to the role of Partner as the firm looks to build on its recent expansion into Swindon.

With nearly 30 years experience, Elizabeth, who comes from a farming family, brings with her a wealth of knowledge, specialising in family law including wealth planning and asset preservation using Pre and Post Nuptial Agreements and dynastic Trusts. She is also skilled in divorce, farming cases, inter-generational issues and advising family businesses and individuals on complex financial disputes arising on the breakdown of personal relationships and property ownership.

Gardner Leader has been offering advice in relation to family matters for over 125 years. Now, following its merger with commercial solicitors Clark Holt last year, and Elizabeth’s appointment, the Thames Valley firm’s family department has expanded its presence into Swindon and the surrounding area for the first time. A move that further cements its position as one of the leading law firms in the region.

On joining the firm, Elizabeth said, “I am thrilled to be part of the Gardner Leader team, at a time of exciting growth and expansion. The firm is quickly establishing itself in the town and county following the highly successful merger with Clark Holt last year. I am delighted to be able to contribute to that growth with my own connections and client base in the Cotswolds.”

Gardner Leader’s family team has a wealth of expertise dealing with all types of family law cases and the team are all members of Resolution, a national body, with 6,500 members, committed to dealing with family cases amicably, with compassion and sensitivity.

Derek Rodgers, Managing Partner at Gardner Leader, said, “We are delighted to add a partner of Liz’s calibre to our growing family team, giving us further strength and depth. One year on from our merger with Clark Holt, the recruitment of Liz is another step in our plan to expand the range of services we are now able to offer directly in the Swindon area. Liz has worked in both commercial and private client firms and is a natural bridge across our teams as we build on our reputation as trusted advisors, delivering peace of mind to our business and private clients now and for the next generation.”

The award-winning law firm, which offers services to both businesses and individuals, has offices across the Thames Valley, including Swindon, Newbury, Thatcham, Maidenhead, Windsor and London.
