Pippa Birch, Founder of Pipster Solutions Ltd based at Heywood House near Westbury, has been named as one of the UK’s most impressive female entrepreneurs.
Small Business Britain’s ‘f:Entrepreneur #IAlso100’ campaign showcases trailblazing female founders who lead purpose-driven businesses whilst supporting others across their industries and communities.
Pippa has been included in the list alongside 99 other inspirational female entrepreneurs from across the country, as part of the campaign to celebrate the multi-achievements of women running businesses in the UK today.
Her company, Pipster Solutions, specialises in bid writing for the highways sector. Pippa has been a Bid Writer and Manager for over two decades, freelancing for eight years before founding her company in 2012.
The entrepreneur was recognised for her knowledge and enthusiasm for the bidding profession. During the pandemic, she started #ThursdayThrong – an online community group which allows bidding professionals to connect, share knowledge and feel less isolated.
She has also created #BidBites – a monthly, hour-long Zoom session focusing on a different bid-related subject each month and sharing professional thoughts across the bidding community.
In addition to writing regularly for bidding publications and speaking at industry events, Pippa also takes an active role in mentoring and supporting other bid professionals and local organisations.
Pippa said, “This is such an amazing honour. Our clients are winning the work they need to flourish, and my team is thriving personally. This #ialso award celebrates these achievements, not just for our clients but for our profession. The other #ialso women are inspirational, and I look forward to getting to know them this year, and celebrating together.”
Launched in 2017 by Small Business Britain – a champion of small businesses in the UK – the f:Entrepreneur campaign aims to raise greater awareness of the impact of incredible female business owners across the country, and help provide inspiration and role models to the wider small business community.
The campaign offers a host of events, training, and networking opportunities to boost skills, capability, and confidence.
Michelle Ovens CBE, founder of Small Business Britain, said, “Congratulations to Pippa Birch of Pipster Solutions and each of the phenomenal women featured in this year’s #IAlso100
“It is so important that we call out the incredible contribution of women running businesses across the UK. As well as growing economic prosperity, they are also having a tremendous, wider positive impact on local communities. Despite all of the challenges of recent times, it is fantastic to see female entrepreneurship continuing to grow and flourish, and we must do all we can to encourage and build this further.”
