Wroughton financial adviser to offer free drop-in sessions this July

By Nick Batten on 29 June, 2023

Financial adviser Dave Southby is offering free drop-in sessions in Wroughton throughout July and then on a quarterly basis moving forwards.

From insurance to pensions, Dave has a wealth of expertise to share and local residents are invited to pop in for an informal chat about their finances.

These quarterly sessions are run with support from Will writer Martin Baker who can help with probate and estate planning.

Dave said, “It can often be difficult finding the right person to help so these sessions are designed to make it easier for people to seek the help they need. We both live in Wroughton and it is a privilege to be able to give back to the local community.

“We guide people, who attend, we simply want to help them as we believe it’s so important for people to understand their finances and plan for their future and their family’s future.

“There is a lot of uncertainty at the moment with the current cost of living crisis. It’s good for people to talk through their concerns and hopefully go away with some information that will help them.”

Although there is no formal advice given, Dave hopes that people will leave with a better understanding of their options and with some of their questions answered.

Based on previous experience he expects the next event to be busy. Dave continued, “We have done four sessions so far and they have all been incredibly popular.”

The drop-in sessions, which are free of charge, will be held at the Ellendune Centre on Friday 21st July between 9am and 1pm and people can just turn up.

Dave is a partner with St James’ Place and helps individuals, families and small business owners to manage their wealth effectively. He specialises in working with people who live in Swindon and North Wiltshire.
