Combined Financial Strategies, a Bath based firm that works across the South West has scooped a hat-trick of awards at the unbiased.co.uk Media Awards 2015.
Director of the firm, Jonothan McColgan became the first financial adviser in the UK to win three awards at the unbiased.co.uk Media Awards 2015 after he was named Young Financial Adviser of the Year, Estate Planning Financial Adviser of the Year and Tax Planning Financial Adviser of the Year.
Jonothan told TBE: “I was really proud to be short-listed in the first place, considering the tough competition from financial advisers from across the country. I really did not expect to win three different awards. I am honoured that unbiased.co.uk and their sponsors thought so highly of my contributions to the financial press over the last year.
I hope these awards give prospective clients a good idea of the high quality independent financial advice that they can expect from Combined Financial Strategies.”
The unbiased.co.uk Media Awards reward excellence from financial advisers in the media and journalists featured on unbiased.co.uk’s Bluebook, recognizing their valuable contribution to the regional, national and online news on financial topics.
Karen Barrett, Chief Executive of unbiased.co.uk, said: “For 11 years now our Media Awards have let us acknowledge and showcase the brilliant work of individual financial advisers as they promote the benefits of professional advice. Although the categories were closely contested, Jonothan has really been an outstanding ambassador building awareness among consumers in the media on tricky financial subjects.”
We were delighted to find out that Jonothan’s piece written for The Business Exchange in January 2014 helped him win the award. Read the piece here: www.tbeswindonandwilts.co.uk/?p=222
