Swindon payroll manager Nicki Goddard-Dady will be speaking at the Payroll World client payroll autumn conference in London next week.
Nicki, who is payroll manager at Banks BHG chartered accountants, will be on a panel discussing how to communicate auto-enrolment to employers and employees.
Auto-enrolment, which affects all employers, is the compulsory legislation requiring employers to enrol qualifying staff in a workplace pension. Nicki has already helped a number of businesses move to auto-enrolment, and she set up the Swindon branch of Friends of Automatic Enrolment – a professional group to spread best practice.
Chairing the panel, which will take places on November 12, will be Andy Agathangelou, founder of FoAE.
“Automatic enrolment is a huge change for the payroll sector, and one which affects all employers,” said Nicki. “It’s really important that as a profession, payroll providers understand what they are doing, not just helping employers register with schemes but with communicating to their employees.”
The panel discussion will look at communicating to clients the importance of meeting deadlines, engaging staff in the process, how best to communicate with staff – whether emails or texts are options, and potential pitfalls.
