Metro Bank’s Swindon store is collecting food donations to help support The Harbour Project as part of its Christmas Community Campaign to spread the warmth this winter.

The Harbour Project aims to be a family for every individual who seeks asylum or is granted refugee status in Swindon, and to help them to rebuild their lives.

Swindon residents and businesses can donate some of the items the charity urgently needs including tea bags, coffee, biscuits, tinned tomatoes, cooking oil, basmati rice, cereal as well as shampoo, conditioner and deodorant, shower gel, toothbrush and toothpaste, washing up liquid and washing powder at its Regent Street store.

Joe McGowan, Swindon Metro Bank Local Director, said, “As a community bank we want to really help those most in need this Christmas and spread the warmth this winter. We would encourage everyone to give a little this Christmas – even one tin can make a difference. I want to thank everyone in advance for their generous support.”

All donations are welcome at Metro Bank’s Swindon store located at 1-4 Regent Street, Swindon, SN1 1JQ. The store is currently open Monday – Saturday 08:30am – 6pm. Sunday: 11am – 5pm.

Metro Bank services 2.6 million customer accounts and is the highest-rated high-street bank for overall service quality for personal customers and the best bank for service in-store for personal and business customers, in the Competition and Market Authority’s Service Quality Survey – August 2022.
