The team at South West Business Finance (SWBF) is expanding to manage an increased demand in enquiries since the beginning of 2021.
Russell Stritch who is well-known in the local business community has joined the team as Partner, bringing the team of Partners from nine to ten, supported by Co-Founders and Directors, Dan Smith and Steve Barrett.
Prior to joining SWBF Russell spent three years with an invoice finance specialist in the corporate team, partnering with businesses to provide all of their funding requirements, including invoice, asset, cashflow and other alternative finance.
Russell, said, “I am delighted to join SWBF to continue my work with the strong SME community in the South West, having specialised in the alternative finance arena for over ten years.
“I know how difficult it can be to find the right finance solution at the right time, and I aim to build strategic long-term relationships with clients to understand their challenges and requirements, enabling them to develop and grow their businesses.
“I offer a sensible and tailored approach to assisting clients with their funding needs and will challenge accordingly, ensuring plans are robust enough to cope with the long-term ambition of each business. I take pride in my ability to offer a transparent and consultative service and will work with you every step of the way, offering a holistic approach to establishing the right funding solution.
“I’m passionate about supporting the SME community here in the South West and I am looking forward to using my experience to assist new and existing clients at SWBF.”
Commenting on Russell’s appointment, SWBF Co-Founder, Dan Smith, said, “It’s great to be able to bring someone like Russell on to the team. His experience in the cashflow lending sector is priceless. This is going to be a key year for firms to look at cashflow, so his skillset will really enhance the SWBF offering. Russell will bring huge amounts of enthusiasm to the role as well.”
Steve Barrett, Co-Founder, SWBF, added, “Having worked with Russell on a number of transactions in his previous role, it was a no-brainer trying to attract him to join the SWBF team. His ‘can do’ attitude to supporting SME business is second to none.
“Since the turn of the year we have seen levels of business in excess of pre-pandemic times. We can only see this getting busier this year with the various government schemes coming to an end and it’s great to have Russell on board to help us with the increased need. With the Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme (CBILS) coming to an end, there is a new scheme being delivered called the Recovery Loan Scheme (RLS). We have already taken lots of enquiries about it, but this new scheme may prove difficult to utilise, so understanding all your options is key to making the right decision.”
