A Co-Director of tech-led accountancy firm Purple Lime is taking a back seat in the business she helped found.

Angela Ashworth, who has been at the helm of the Wiltshire-based business since 2016 alongside Oli Thomas, will now focus on marketing and training.

Angela said, “We’ve spent these last three-and-a-half years growing our business and our team. This year, it is time for me to move away from the operational side of the business and prepare the team for my retirement.

“Lockdown has changed things for all of us, however this was always part of our long-term plan. Now I’m working with our new office manager to hand over a lot of my responsibilities as we emerge from lockdown.

“I’ll still be part of Purple Lime but in a different way, as the team prepare for the next phase in the company’s development. I love our team and I love Purple Lime. I feel now is the right time to prepare for supporting my growing family and being with my husband David who is already a very active retiree.”

Co-Founder Oli Thomas will continue to lead the company from its office at Hartham Park, Corsham.

Oli said, “We always had a strategy for growth within the business which played to both my strengths and Angela’s strengths. That’s why we work so well together.

“Now it is time for her to begin to move into the next phase of her life. I’ll continue to be hands-on in the office, doing the job I love. I know Angela will have my back over the coming months and I’m very grateful for her unwavering support and inspiration.”
