Monahans appoints two new directors at Trowbridge office

Monahans, the largest independent firm of chartered accountants and business advisers in the South West, has appointed two new directors to cement its business ambitions for 2023 and beyond.

After a successful 2022, in which the firm rebranded and joined Prime Global, an award-winning, international association of accounting firms, Monahans has bolstered its service offering with two Director appointments to its Trowbridge office.

Becky Young, who re-joined Monahans in 2022, was promoted to Director on 1st January after 22 years in the industry. She previously worked as a Client Portfolio Manager at Monahans, and then went on to create and manage her own business, accumulating and managing a large clientele. Her role as director will see her concentrating on expanding her client relationships and working with a team of Client managers to provide high-quality accounting services, solutions and advice to business owners across the region.

Becky’s promotion will allow Managing Partner Simon Tombs, also based in Trowbridge, to focus on leading the growth strategy for the practice.

Reflecting on Becky’s successes, Simon said, “I am delighted to see Becky progress to Director. She has been an invaluable asset to Monahans for a number of years, always providing outstanding services and forming strong relationships, and I am excited to see how she steers the business in the future. Becky has returned to Monahans with wider experience, invaluable knowledge and skills that only running your own business will teach you, giving her the niche understanding and ability to relate to many of our clients.”

Becky added, “I am delighted to be one of the new Directors at our Trowbridge office. It has been fantastic to see the business grow over the years and I am excited to be a part of Monahans’ promising future.”

In February, Becky will be joined by another director, whose background has focussed on managing corporate and business services at key firms for the last decade. Their experience of developing and managing a portfolio of general practice clients will further enable Monahans to act as trusted partner to its growing client base.

The appointments come alongside the news that Monahans is relocating to a new office in Trowbridge to accommodate its changing footprint. The new office, based at County Gate, County Way, Trowbridge, Wiltshire, BA14 7FJ, will facilitate the company’s expansion and help it fulfil its key goals in the coming years.
