Local accountancy firm Gooding Accounts is celebrating after being chosen as finalists in the Employer of the Year category for this year’s Accounting Excellence Awards.
Accounting Excellence is known as the UK’s number one awards programme for accountants and bookkeepers and is designed to celebrate the most ambitious firms and individuals in accounting.
There are just six finalists in the Employer of the Year category and Gooding Accounts is the only finalist from the South West.

The firm’s strong team ethic and employee support also led the judges to place them amongst the very best small accountancy employers nationwide.
The firm’s supportive environment was also praised, with team leaders giving practical ongoing support for employees to achieve their goals, both personal and professional. The relaxed workplace and flexible working options were recognised as key drivers of the company’s rapid growth and continuing success.
Gooding Accounts also stood out as Community Champions for the team’s many fundraising activities, including the pursuit of raising £50,000 to celebrate the firm’s 10th anniversary, volunteering for local charities and supporting local school and grassroots sports teams.
