Accreditation is latest accolade for financial planning firm

A leading Wiltshire-based financial planning firm is celebrating after being accredited by The Institute of Financial Planning.

The endorsement comes just weeks after Proposito Financial Planning was granted prestigious chartered financial planner status by the Chartered Insurance Institute and also achieved BS8577, the only British Standard for financial advice and planning firms.

And the firm has just relocated from Malmesbury to larger premises on the outskirts of the town, which give it double the space including two meeting rooms, to help it accommodate a growing client base and more staff; the firm is currently recruiting a chartered financial planner.

Director Huw Jones said the last few months had been a watershed for Proposito, and the IFP accreditation was the icing on the cake. The IFP is the professional body for financial planners in the UK, and accredits only firms which it assesses as demonstrating the highest professional standards of financial planning service and advice to clients.

“We’re delighted to have achieved this powerful recognition of our commitment to professionalism and outstanding client service,” said Huw. “Our clients expect and deserve only the highest standards of advice and service, as we work with them to plan their finances so that they can achieve their goals in life. We’re proud to deliver a service which they value and which has now been externally recognised too.”

Proposito Financial Planning specialises in providing bespoke financial planning services to individuals and businesses. It is one of fewer than 400 in the UK to have been granted CII chartered status. Huw holds personal chartered status, which he achieved in 2013.

To achieve British Standard 8577, Proposito had to undergo a rigorous process. A professional benchmark, to achieve it firms must comply with a framework for their operational management, and employ best practice and processes.

Huw said: “Our relocation to larger premises and the accolades we have achieved – including this latest from the IFP – all demonstrate the high level of service we offer, and our commitment to our clients. They give us a firm footing on which to base future growth.”
