CELEBRATE, across The Enterprise Network, is a special event to celebrate the diversity, determination and dedication of Wiltshire’s small businesses – our local heroes in a UK economy boasting over 5 million ‘micro’ businesses – ahead of the national celebrations on Small Business Saturday, 5th December.
The Enterprise Network (TEN) is joining forces county-wide with the FSB; Salisbury, Chippenham and Swindon BIDs and local business Chambers to recognise our small business communities and to CELEBRATE with them.
Events hosted at five of TEN’s Enterprise Centres in Salisbury, Ludgershall, Trowbridge, Chippenham and Royal Wootton Bassett will comprise:-
All day pop-up business Expo, featuring a range of small businesses from the local business community.
11:00-12:00 Small Business Saturday workshop, hosted by SBS Ambassador, Alison Edgar, with an insight into how to become a Small Biz 100 winner and the benefits and opportunities this can afford your business. Alison will speak live from Salisbury and her presentation will be streamed directly to the other venues.
12:30-14:00 Founder of Gu Chocolate Puds, James Averdieck, believes small business entrepreneurs thrive by “having a creative idea, the guts to back it and the energy and obsessive determination to make it successful.” and we agree! Keynote speaker James will talk about what it takes to be successful in business, his own business journey from a light bulb moment and developing a brand, through business set up to nationwide success and ultimately a profitable sale. He will offer 12 short, simple to follow tips any business can apply to spring-board its own success. James will speak live from Salisbury and his presentation will be streamed directly to the other venues from where attendees can post questions via Twitter.
A tasty informal networking lunch will be provided.
All day Business Support Market Place will run throughout the day offering small business owners and those hoping to start, or grow, a business, the opportunity to meet a range of experts for free advice and information, supported by Inspire-Wiltshire Business Support Service, local Chambers and IMPRESS amongst others.
