The Business Exchange South West Charity Conference 2020

Attend the Business Exchange South West Charity Conference & Expo 2020 at Bath Racecourse on Thursday 6th February 2020.

Returning for its second year, the conference is set to connect business with the third sector, thanks to support from event sponsors Milsted Langdon LLP, Stone King LLP, and Fidelius Group.

The conference and expo is an opportunity for local businesses, charities and not-for-profits, to connect, share learnings, and go for growth.

The Day’s Schedule

Networking Breakfast: The day will begin with a networking breakfast at 7:30am. Our guest speaker is Bradford-on-Avon-based charity, Dorothy House Hospice Care who will be discussing diversity in the third sector. The charity will talk about Ubiety, its collection of luxury therapy products.

At a time when charities and businesses need each other more than ever, Peter Woodhouse, Head of Business Sector at Stone King, will also explore how each party can best get their message across. With the assistance of a local charity and a local business, he will explore how charities can pitch their offering to attract business interest, and how businesses can maximise their CSR programmes for their own and greater good.

Tickets are priced at £10+VAT and include breakfast rolls and refreshments.

The Expo: The Expo will officially open at 9am after the networking breakfast. This part of the conference allows charities to showcase their work and latest appeals and companies to demonstrate their third sector specialisms. Organisations signed up to exhibit include, Metro Bank, Bath University, Wessex Water, OJO Solutions, Naturally Social, Bike the UK, People against Poverty, Cornwall Glass, the Forever Friends Appeal, Julian House, 3SG and our event sponsors Milsted Langdon, Stone King and Fidelius group.

The expo is free to attend, but delegates must register their attendance.

Charity/ Third Sector exhibition stands are priced at £40+VAT or £50+VAT for a stand plus goodie bag insert.

Business stands are priced at £100+VAT and £120+VAT for a stand plus goodie bag insert.

The Seminars: Throughout the day we have a series of seminars planned. These will cover a number of topics voted for by attendees of the inaugural 2019 South West Charity Conference.

The seminars are free to attend but booking is essential. 

The Fidelius Giving Bank: Visit the Fidelius Giving Bank throughout the day to pin what skills, time or financial support you can donate, and you will be matched with not-for-profits who would value your support.

Event timings

  • 7:30 – 8:15am Networking breakfast
  • 8:15- 9am Conference opener
  • 9am-3pm Exhibition (stands for both businesses and charities to promote themselves)
  • Seminar sessions throughout the day in set seminar rooms

Over 90 delegates attended the first Business Exchange South West Charity Conference and the plan is to double that figure in 2020.

The idea is to make the event as affordable as possible, with the ability to pick and mix the parts of the day you can attend. This is not an income generating event, we just need to cover our costs.
