Join us for our spring Big Breakfast at Cumberwell Park on Thursday 7th April from 7.30-9am.
Our theme for the morning is ‘The rise of ESG – Environmental, Social and Governance and what it means for business’. Hear from guest speakers Jo Wren and David Matthews of Maia Growth Partners.
With so many companies and business leaders focusing upon different sustainability challenges, or in some cases not quite sure where to start, it is proving tough for stakeholders to grasp the essence of what is important to them about your organisation and brand. And ultimately, why they should chose you over someone else – what is your purpose?
Whether they are suppliers, workers, customers or investors it is becoming increasingly important for them to understand the way you go about business and the products or services you offer and how they fit into the sustainability agenda, so they can make informed choices to supply you, work for you, buy from you or fund you.
Making these decisions in the light of events like COP26 and with the horizon of 2030 in mind, one of the best places to head for inspiration are the United Nation SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals), so you can establish what your values are and how you will approach sustainability now and moving forwards – one step at a time.
Jo and David will talk about some of the facts we face in today’s world, how the SDGs relate to your business, and offer some thoughts about what comes next and how you position yourself to make the most important elements stand out.
All our events begin with networking over coffee, we then sit down for breakfast at tables arranged to introduce you to the right people. After you have enjoyed your breakfast it’s time for the 20 minute speaker slot. We look forward to welcoming you.
