The Swindon and Wiltshire Local Enterprise Partnership (SWLEP) is hosting its first virtual conference and expo on Thursday 7th October from 9am-5pm via Hopin.
Entitled, ‘Engage, Evolve, Go’, this special event is being organised to help Swindon and Wiltshire businesses connect, learn and be inspired by the amazing talent in the local community. The event will be a real celebration of SMEs in the area sharing local success stories and some of the fantastic work which has happened in the last 18 months despite the challenges we have all faced, showcasing business resilience and determination.
Paddy Bradley, SWLEP CEO, said, “Like many events our 2020 conference had to be cancelled due to the pandemic. Heading into the winter months this year, we all will need to remain cautious, so we decided to embrace the technology available to us and host our first virtual conference and expo.”
The conference and expo is set to be opened by guest speaker, Dr Nicola Millard, Principal Innovation Partner at BT and a presenter, writer and researcher on innovation in customer experience and the future of work. Nicola is set to inject a ‘positive, people-centred espresso shot to innovation and future strategy’ encouraging us all to think about the current business landscape and how its changing and evolving.
The digital crowd is also set to be wowed by Jim Lawless (author of Taming Tigers: Do things you never thought you could) who will inspire and empower you to take the leap to engage, evolve, go.
Throughout the day there will be the opportunity to attend a number of sessions with local experts, which will provide key skills and top tips to get your business in shape for growth. You can also network throughout the day using the Hopin platform’s clever networking tool.
