New online community launched for Wiltshire artisans

As The Business Exchange prepares for its annual Made in Wiltshire feature in the next issue of the magazine, Wiltshire Makers is launching its brand new online community to showcase the county’s top artisan traders.

Wiltshire Makers is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC) established to support, promote and help grow the Wiltshire artisan network.

The Wiltshire Makers Community is the latest project launched by the initiative. With support from Wiltshire Council’s Area Board, which has provided a grant to support new projects over the next 12 months, the Community is seeking Wiltshire food and drink producers, artists, crafters, local makers groups and event organisers to sign up.

Director Terry Kemp said, “This is an exciting development on the Wiltshire Makers journey. We have listened to artisans and they have told us they would like a one stop shop for advice, networking and support. The added benefit of our online community is the chance to showcase to our many customers who purchase via our online shop already.”

With a planned live date for May 2021, the community has an introductory rate of £12.50 per annum which will allow a community member to have their own page on showcasing their products and linking across to their own online presence.

Other benefits will include showcasing and promotion as part of the wider Wiltshire Makers family, blog and email marketing promotions and early notifications about Wiltshire Makers events and stallholder opportunities.

Terry added, “We are now planning 12 months of events and opportunities for our Makers. This is a great opportunity to showcase the wonderful skills and fantastic produce we have here in Wiltshire and the immediate surrounding areas.”

To be a member of Wiltshire Makers Community or to take part in any of our events you must be a resident of Wiltshire or be intrinsically linked to the county.
