Swindon designers make waves with gilt-edged holiday masterpiece

Jazzbones the creative agency, based in Old Town, Swindon, have teamed up with Imagine Cruising, the UK’s largest independent cruise agent, to create a nationwide campaign which is making major waves across the travel industry.

If your daily press fix extends to the travel pages or you have been on the internet recently looking at luxury cruise web sites, the chances are you will have come across the Imagine Masterpiece Collection. What you probably don’t realise is that the high-profile campaign was created in Swindon.

Imagine Cruising dreams up its luxury holidays from Lydiard Fields Business Park in West Swindon. They work with the travel industry’s most iconic names – Cunard Queen Mary 2, Venice Simplon-Orient-Express and Palazzo Versace  – to create bespoke packages in idyllic locations: Far East cruises, African safaris, transatlantic voyages and winter sunshine journeys to Dubai.

When Imagine decided to refresh their branding, the brief was coveted by Britain’s top agencies. However, the most convincing pitch came from Swindon’s very own Jazzbones, a small but thriving creative agency with an impressive client list (Miele, Capgemini, Forward Swindon, Peak-Ryzex).

The ‘Every Cruise a Masterpiece’ concept features dreamlike illustrations of iconic destinations placed in the kind of gilt-edged frame you would normally associate with paintings by the Old Masters. “The cruise market is incredibly competitive so we needed to create visuals that would make Imagine stand out from the crowd,” says Nathan Sandhu, director and founder of Jazzbones

Where to see the Imagine Masterpiece Collection:

  • National press ads, including full-page ads in The Daily Telegraph, The Daily Mail, The Times
  • 16 page Imagine Cruising colour supplement in The Daily Telegraph

Swindon may not be the first name that springs to mind when you think of luxury cruises and cutting-edge graphic design, but based on the success of the Masterpiece Collection it soon could be!
