First appointment at Visual PR

By Ben Carey on 25 August, 2023

Visual PR, launched this year by Swindon entrepreneur Chris Dawes, has appointed its first member of staff.

Offering organisations the chance to star in their own chat show style broadcasts, Visual PR has recruited graduate Joe Marrow whose video, graphical, technical and content creation skills are set to enhance the business’s offering.

Chris Dawes launched Visual PR to help organisations, charities, and individuals reach their audiences in a new and engaging way.

Visual PR produces live (or ‘as live’) chat show style programmes, which clients broadcast via their YouTube channel, social media platforms and websites. They can also be turned into audio-only podcasts.

On welcoming Joe to the team, Chris said, “Joe is ideal as he’s a video editor, designer and graphic designer, so not only is he able to take some of the workload off me, he is also taking it to the next level. He can work on the intros, outros, video stings and graphical elements to the shows, that really make them pop and add the wow factor for our clients.”

Joe has recently graduated from Staffordshire University, with a first-class honours degree in PR and Community Management.

He said, “It’s such an exciting concept and a great opportunity for me. There’s no better person than Chris to work with, as he’s the ideal presenter and interviewer, and I can help with the video and content creation side. His excitement for the project has really inspired me.

“Before I went to university, I was taking a technician apprenticeship, but I wasn’t enjoying it and wanted a job where I worked with people. My university course also involved a whole module dedicated to content creation, which was great as I love anything to do with computers and video.”

The pair are currently working on a show for Bespoke Guardian Swindon Wildcats ice hockey team, which Visual PR also sponsors.

The show, due for broadcast live on Tuesday 29th August on the Swindon Wildcats’ YouTube channel and Facebook page, will include special guests, interviews with players, the team mascot and the unveiling of a new signing.

The show will remain available on the Facebook page and YouTube channel for those unable to watch live.
