In a further sign that demand for industrial property in Swindon is growing, Rockhaven Developments has announced that Rockhaven Park, east Swindon’s first new speculative industrial development since 2007, is now under construction.
Completion of the new 19 unit scheme on Kembrey Street, to the front of Kembrey Park, is anticipated for November when the first occupiers are expected to move in. The units will range in size from 1,500 sqft up to 3,125 sqft with the ability to create larger properties by combining units. All are available on a freehold basis.
Rockhaven Park is being built to an excellent specification suitable for a wide range of trade, industrial and warehouse uses. It has a proven location with neighbouring occupiers including Howdens Joinery, Plumb Centre and Edmundson Electrical. There are also excellent facilities on Kembrey Street including the Kembrey Inn, Premier Inn and Next Generation health and fitness centre.
Nick Dowdeswell of Rockhaven Developments said: “With Swindon’s availability of industrial units falling to the lowest level for more than ten years, we were keen to find a site to provide the town with our proven Rockhaven Park format. However, we wanted a site in the best possible location for our purchasers to benefit from and Kembrey Street undoubtedly provides this. We are already experiencing good levels of interest and are excited about welcoming thriving businesses to the Park.”
