Chippenham’s Platinum House has officially opened.

Launched in October with a drinks reception and networking event, the office space and co-working hub is housed in an 18th century building next to St Andrews Church in the heart of the town

Six businesses have taken space within the building which is now at full capacity.

Stuart Gilbert, from Platinum Mortgage Solutions based at Platinum House, said, “We’re so excited at this opportunity to work closely together with several other small local businesses, including a local artist, two professional photographers, a counsellor and a dance teacher.

“It’s a wonderful space, full of character, right in the heart of the town. We’ve worked hard to make it attractive for all of our visitors. The vision was always to create a space where a number of different businesses could work together and we have a lovely collection of organisations all supporting and encouraging each other.

“Chippenham is a great place to work, with lots of cafés, restaurants and small shops. We have the River Avon flowing through the town, and the Market Place and St Marys Street have some fantastic buildings. The place is full of history.”

Another tenant, Rae Melody from Rae Melody Art, said, “To have an art studio in the centre of town in such a gorgeous historic building, sharing the space with different businesses, feels like something really special. I’m really enjoying working with other people, who all bring something different to the table.”
