Jordan Daykin from Melksham and Dragons’ Den’s youngest entrepreneur received notification last Friday from City A.M saying he has hit 68th in the 100 Most Powerful Entrepreneurs List.

When the notification popped up on Jordan’s phone this morning he was pleasantly surprised because that was the last thing he was expecting. When asked how he felt about being included in the top 100 list Jordan said: “Being included in the top 100 list with my peers and some of the country’s most successful business people is incredibly important to me. I consider this to be recognition and to a degree validation of all of my hard work.  The last two years have been hard, but have also included some of my proudest moments.”

GripIt, based in Trowbridge, manufactures and distributes the world’s ultimate plasterboard fixing – allowing heavy objects to be secured on modern walls.

The list of 100 Most Powerful Entrepreneurs contains people such as Richard Branson and Victoria Beckham to name a few. “It is such an honour to be included on a list with so many people who have over the years inspired me in many ways, to start my own business” said Jordan.

Also included on the list of most powerful names is Deborah Meaden, Duncan Bannatyne, Peter Jones and Theo Paphitis who Jordan pitched to on Dragons’ Den 18 months ago, at which point Jordan would never have dreamt he would be included on a list with them.
