Wiltshire woman wins best virtual assistant in the South for second year running

Entrepreneur Donna Redshaw has been named Virtual Assistant of the Year for the South for the second year running.

The 39-year old mother of two from Swindon, who runs her own company Diamond PA Services, will now go through to the national final of Virtual Assistant England at Europe’s largest business event The Business Show at Olympia in London on November 18.

The awards are sponsored by BeMyVA, the global organisation which connects entrepreneurs and business leaders with virtual assistants worldwide. The increase in this sector is believed to be linked to a rise in productivity as key members of staff in companies are relieved from time consuming administrative tasks.

Donna launched her own company, Diamond PA Services, in October 2012 working from home, but now has her own office in North Swindon.

“Our service offers both flexibility and reduces the overheads of a permanent member of staff for entrepreneurs and small businesses. We offer a complete virtual administration service. This year we introduced a payroll service which has really taken off, particularly since companies have to automatically enroll their staff onto a pension, which is a complicated process,” said Donna.

Donna puts her second award down to several factors.

“We continually update our website, have a strong social media presence, loads of new customers, and are always developing new skills. Of the 29 courses I have attended over the last few years, I gained distinctions in 25 including expert levels for Excel and Word.”

Donna enjoys down time on Tuesday evenings when she volunteers with her local 5th Swindon Brownies, Guides and Rangers units.  There she supports young people in various activities including learning new skills, arts and crafts plus camping weekends away.

Diamond PA Services, based at Gemini House, Hargreaves Road, Swindon offers a virtual assistant solution helping business owners deal with day-to-day administration. Services include telephone answering service, day-to-day office requirements including business correspondence, book-keeping, data entry, travel services and lifestyle management.
