Housing group GreenSquare which has offices in both Chippenham and Swindon has been named as one of the top five housing associations in the UK.  The list was compiled by leading industry magazine 24housing and the Housing Quality Network (HQN).

GreenSquare came in at number five on the list and is the only south west-based housing association to be included in the top five alongside housing associations Home Group, New Charter, Amicus Horizon, and Family Mosaic.

Ann Cornelius, Executive Director (Customers & Communities) at GreenSquare is delighted with the result. She said: “We are thrilled to have made it to number five and are particularly pleased to be representing the South West on the list.

“Not only is it a fantastic recognition of our commitment to putting our residents at the heart of everything we do, but it is a testament to all our hard work to expand and grow our business at a time when we might have been expected to be doing the opposite.”

In September, 24Housing and the HQN launched a quest to find the UK’s top social housing landlords, asking for nominations from housing providers across the country.  A panel of expert industry judges compiled a top 50 list, which includes ALMOs, councils, charities and housing associations, and the top 10 was left up to a public vote. GreenSquare was placed number 7 in the housing provider list and number 5 in the list of housing associations.  The full results were published in 24Housing’s December issue.
