PinkBox Boutique, the Wiltshire-based company which offers unique and ethical gifts, has been chosen as one of the UK’s Small Biz 100 winners 2016.

Small Biz 100 is part of a national initiative Small Business Saturday to encourage people to shop local at Christmas and it culminates this year on Saturday December 3 nationwide.

Small Business Saturday is a grass roots, non-commercial campaign which highlights small business success as well as encouraging communities to shop local in the run-up to Christmas. Each year thousands of SMEs from across the UK apply to be one of the featured businesses in the campaign in the 100 days running up to Small Business Saturday. PinkBox was named one of the top 100 – and will be featured as part of the campaign on Thursday November 24.

Founder and managing director Kerry Gover said: “It’s fantastic for me and my team that three years’ hard work to build a sustainable business is being recognised in this way.

“I think one of the reasons we were chosen is through our brand we, in turn, celebrate and work with other small Wiltshire-based businesses to help them grow and develop such as Hive Originals, Wiltshire Chilli Farm and In A Pickle.”

Kerry set up PinkBox Boutique in 2013 to sell unique, good quality but affordable gifts through an online shop, a party plan known as Boutique@Home. Last year she opened the PinkBox HQ at Meadow Barn, Coate, Devizes where guests can visit by appointment, have small meetings or workshops and browse the goods at their leisure.  Many products are sourced from Wiltshire producers.

Previous Small Biz 100 winners have been invited to a reception with government ministers in London following the campaign to talk to them about issues affecting small businesses. For more information about PinkBox Boutique visit: www.pinkboxboutique.co.uk
