In an industry that has been almost brought to its knees over the last 18 months, young, ambitious entrepreneurs Freddie Spickernell and Annaleaz Dolman have not only made their dreams a reality by becoming the new owners of The Foxham, a gastropub in Chippenham, but have made it their mission to turn the tide in the struggling industry.

Having worked in hospitality for many years, they felt now was the right time to invigorate the pallets of diners with their locally-sourced delights.

According to a recent article published by Sky News, almost 10,000 hospitality settings closed their doors for good in 2020.

Freddie said, “It has been our mission for many years to have our own pub, and now seemed like the perfect time to go for it. We have a vision to create something with a culinary focus that is affordable for all ages, but also to create a contemporary atmosphere in a village setting.”

Having reopened its doors on the 1st of July 2021, The Foxham, has already welcomed hundreds of customers from Wiltshire and beyond.

Local resident Alison Edgar MBE who attended the opening event remarked, “I was very impressed by the quality of the food, extensive wine selection and ambience, it even had a beautiful beer garden which is perfect for families and dogs”
