Marketing expert Maggie Robinson, owner of the Wiltshire-based Smart Thinking Consultancy, is marking eight years of supporting small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across the UK.
Maggie set up her business in order to give companies a personal, honest and open experience when dealing with marketing agencies. Eight years later, and with 20 years of marketing experience behind her, Maggie now hopes to reassure other businesses that they can succeed too.
She said, “Businesses are finding things tough at the moment and it can be hard to see the glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel, but there are others like me out there who have survived and are now looking to the future.
“If you are struggling, there are experts around to call on. A lot of the time it’s finding the right person or the right channels to get help and support.”
Maggie is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, the highest level of membership, and has worked with international and UK-wide companies as well as many SMEs, so has a wealth of advice to offer.
Over the last eight years, she’s worked with many sectors in B2B and B2C, including charities, financial services, manufacturing, fast-moving consumer goods, travel, health care, engineering, construction and more.
Maggie added, “The variety of clients is one of the most enjoyable parts of my work, as well as the flexibility to adhere to my own ethos and not that of someone else.
“I think my customers appreciate the level of transparency they get with me too and the reassurance that I personally deal with the work, not someone more junior back at the office.”
