Amesbury based pet insurance provider, Animal Friends Insurance has been crowned winner of the Moneynet 2015 ‘Best Pet Insurance Provider of the Year’ Award. This follows their recent success at the Consumer Moneyfacts awards 2015, where they took home three prizes.
Each year the Moneynet personal finance awards recognise the top personal finance providers and products from the previous twelve months.
Andrew Hagger, chair of the Moneynet judging panel said: “It has been another hectic and fiercely competitive year for providers, banks, building societies and credit card companies, but some have stood out in what is a crowded market and have delivered excellent value for the consumer.”
Animal Friends Insurance are thrilled to have received this award as overall best pet insurance provider.
Elaine Fairfax, Founder and Managing Director of Animal Friends said “We have had such a positive start to 2015 winning three Consumer Moneyfacts awards, and this is another fantastic achievement to add to the collection.”
Animal Friends Insurance was founded by Elaine Fairfax in 1998 with the sole aim of providing pet insurance as a means to help support animal welfare charities. Elaine had worked closely with many animal charities throughout her life but she wanted to do even more to help animals. Elaine decided to use her business skills to raise substantial funds for animal charities through something people need; pet insurance.
To date Animal Friends Insurance has donated in excess of £2 million to animal charities worldwide.
Since its inception Animal Friends Insurance has grown to become not only an award-winning business but one of the largest pet insurance providers in the UK (Datamonitor 2013). They insure over 400,000 pets and offer cover for cats, dogs and horses (including rider insurance) with a range of different types of policy available.
