The awards for Plain Ales Brewery near Warminster just keep coming.
The brewery’s Inncognito beer, a stout that has ruby port added to it has just been judged as the best stout in the South West Region by CAMRA members. This is the regional stage of the Champion Beer of Britain. Inncognito will now go up against the stouts from the other regions at the Great British Beer Festival- hopefully to become CAMRA Champion Beer of Britain.
James Timoney, Brewery Manager said, “The good news just keeps on coming. It’s slightly tongue in cheek but soon we’re going to be short of wall space to hang awards. Inncognito is one of my favourites and we add the port to give a lovely fruitiness to the stout”.
James added, “We started the year well by being voted the top brewery in Wiltshire by the RateBeer website, last week we had a beer at the SIBA National BeerX in Sheffield and now we can go to London’s Great British Beer Festival in August at Earls Court with fingers crossed for a podium finish”.
