Vote for Swindon & Wiltshire’s Most Inspiring Women 2024

By Anita Jaynes on 4 December, 2023

The hunt is on for Swindon and Wiltshire’s most inspiring women.

For a third year, we’re celebrating Swindon and Wiltshire’s most inspiring women to mark International Women’s Day 2024.

International Women’s Day falls on 8th March each year and is a global day which recognises the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. It also helps to raise awareness of discrimination and inspires action to drive gender parity.

At The Business Exchange we use the day as a springboard to celebrate the amazing women in our community. We’re asking you to share with us the women in our area that inspire you to create 2024’s definitive list which recognises 20 women.

The 2023 list was made up of women from diverse backgrounds including Sadie Sharp, Founder of The Platform Project, Kathryn Price, Founder of KSP TechCare and Danielle Holmes of Black Nova Designs.

Each of the women who make up the top 20 list are assigned a day in March to celebrate them, with their profiles shared on The Business Exchange Swindon & Wiltshire website and via our socials (example here). They are also celebrated in our spring magazine and a select few will also be invited to speak at our special International Women’s Day event which will take place on Thursday 7th March 2024 at Walcot House in Bath.

Last year, despite heavy snowfall overnight, over 80 women ventured out for an inspiring, uplifting and fun evening. The night was a mix of inspirational tales, mindfulness tips for coping with the daily juggle, personal styling tips to look good and feel fabulous every day, plus bubbles bites and invaluable networking. Attendees of the 2024 event can expect more of the same and we can’t wait to welcome everyone on the night. Find out more and book tickets here.

We’re delighted that Goughs Solicitors are sponsoring this feature in Swindon & Wiltshire. Goughs have a strong female team and work with many female business owners across the area. The team are getting behind this feature as it’s a great opportunity to celebrate the achievements of women in our community.

Dawn Moir, Partner and head of HR at Goughs, said, “We can’t wait to see who you vote for to make up the 2024 list. We look forward to hearing more about the women who inspire you.”

Cast your vote now. Voting closes Tuesday 31st January 2024.
