A Swindon telemarketing company, which specialises in generating quality leads and appointments for businesses, has taken on two experienced recruits to cope with growing demand.
The Business Generation Group – TBG Group – based in Commercial Road has appointed Liz Tremblay as account manager and Claire Hirt as business development executive. Both women have long and successful careers in sales and telemarketing.
Martin Dugan, head of operations for TBG Group – a sister company to B2B technology telemarketing business VHO – said: “At TBG Group we focus on building relationships and trust with our clients, so when we are looking for leads and appointments at a very senior level we are functioning as an extension of their own marketing department. Claire and Liz have exactly the skills set we needed to fit in with the team and we are very lucky to have them.”
London-born Liz, 47, from Chippenham, trained as a dancer but then opted for a career in sales becoming a key account manager. She said: “I was attracted to the position at TBG Group because they take a consultative approach towards their clients, get to know what the client wants and are able to then achieve high end, quality results.
“TBG Group is a growing businesses, and I think my skills and input will be able to help them. It’s a great opportunity for me to be part of the journey.”
Claire, 42, from Old Town, was born and brought up in Swindon. Her career took her from PA, to retail sales, to insurance sales and then telemarketing, where she has worked in senior roles for both the oil and confectionery industries.
Like Liz, she specialises in a consultative approach to telemarketing. She said: “I’d heard of the team here and thought it was a great opportunity, as their approach fits in with mine. Successful telemarketing is about building a relationship with the client, and adding value to their sales.”
Claire, who has a four-year-old son, is very involved in her local area, including the running of a community centre. Liz, a mother of two, is studying psychology which she says helps her get a better understanding of her clients and their potential customers.
As well as telemarketing campaigns such as lead generation and appointment setting, TBG Group specialises in email marketing, bespoke data creation, data cleansing and market research.
