Today, popular eatery, wagamama, has opened its doors to a new restaurant in the heart of Trowbridge.

The 90-seat restaurant, located award-winning St Stephen’s Place Leisure Park in Trowbridge town centre, is part of an extensive UK-wide renewal plan and will see 40 new jobs created in the area.

Trowbridge residents will be invited to enjoy a variety of new and classic dishes from the Japanese-inspired seasonal menu, including wagamama’s famed ramen; bowls of fragrant soup filled with noodles plus meat or vegetables. Spice enthusiasts can enjoy the much-loved prawn firecracker, and the new tofu chilli salad offers a fresh and crunchy treat. The menu also boasts favourites such as the chicken katsu curry; succulent chicken breast fried in golden breadcrumbs, served with the famous katsu curry sauce, rice and salad. Those after a light bite can enjoy small plates such as chicken gyozas or edamame beans shaken with chilli and salt, alongside an extensive choice of fresh juices, desserts and beverages. There’s also a range of dishes designed especially for kids.

A central open kitchen will form the heart of the new Trowbridge restaurant adding theatre for diners sitting by the chef’s table. For guests who fancy a quick bite, the iconic wagamama canteen-style benches are here to stay, but for a longer dining experience to enjoy with friends, breakout areas and booths have been brought in.

Simon Cope, Global Brand Director commented: “We are delighted to open the doors to our new restaurant in Trowbridge. This opening is the second we’ve had in the UK this week and it marks the beginning of wagamama’s biggest renewal plan to-date. wagamama continues to reinforce positive eating by using fresh ingredients, served in atmospheric surroundings. It’s an exciting time for us and we look forward to receiving feedback from our new and valued customers in Trowbridge”.
