The Entrepreneur’s Godmother goes for gold

Alison Edgar, owner of Chippenham-based sales and customer service training company, Sales Coaching Solutions has been shortlisted for a national award.

Also known as The Entrepreneur’s Godmother, Alison has been nominated in the Heart of Gold category in The Small Awards.

The inaugural Small Awards have been organised by Peak b Ltd, the company behind national campaigns for small business, including Small Business Saturday and Do it Digital. The competition has attracted major sponsors including Facebook,, Mercedes-Benz and Sage.

Among the awards esteemed judges is RT Hon Sir Vince Cable, Kiki Loizou, small business editor, The Sunday Times, Siobhan Kennedy, business editor, Channel 4 news and Emma Jones MBE, founder of Enterprise Nation.

Alison Edgar said: “It is an absolute honour to be shortlisted for such an amazing award. I do my best to support the small business community in anyway I can, including giving my time to organise regional and national events, mentoring start-up businesses and students. To have this recognised means so much to me and my team.”

The Small Awards will take place in London on May 25, 2017 and are to be hosted by TV’s Sue Perkins.
