The Business Exchange kicks off new partnership with Bath Rugby Club

The Business Exchange is delighted to announce the sponsorship of Bath Rugby player, Jordan Venter.

Twenty-year-old Jordan is a promising young South African centre who made the switch from Edinburgh to Bath Rugby in December 2021.

Having already made an impact in his homeland, Venter starred for Paul Roos Gymnasium, his high school in Western Cape, a school that has produced more Springbok rugby players than any other with 54 in total. After winning the 2019 Sanix World Rugby Youth Invitational Tournament with the school, he was named vice-captain of South African’s U18 Sevens team which went on to win the Capricorn Gold Cup in Namibia in early 2020.

Moving to the UK following the tournament, Venter became the first foreign schoolboy to sign a professional contract with Scottish Rugby, signing for Edinburgh. After nearly two years in Scotland, the talented centre has brought his dynamic running power and intense determination to succeed to the West Country.

An abrasive, hard-running centre, Venter is relishing the opportunity to grow his game further with Bath Rugby.

Anita Jaynes, Founder of The Business Exchange, said, “The Business Exchange is really excited to be supporting Jordan. It’s the first time we’ve sponsored a player and we can’t wait to cheer Jordan on.

“We are proud supporters of Bath Rugby and wish the squad and Jordan a fantastic season – COYB!

“As part of our relationship with Bath Rugby we will be hosting several exclusive events to help our community across Bath and Somerset and Swindon and Wiltshire connect and grow. Watch this space!”

Alex Cohen, Chief Commercial Officer at Bath Rugby, said, “We’re really proud to have made this link with The Business Exchange which connects us even more closely with the wider business community in Bath and its surrounds. We want to do more to help bring people together away from a game of rugby during the working week, and these sorts of relationships are right at the heart of that.

“Jordan is a really exciting signing for us and he’ll hopefully be part of our squad, sponsored by The Business Exchange for many years to come.”
