The Business Exchange, Thrings Solicitors and Richardson Swift accountants are delighted to announce the launch of The Breakfast Exchange in Wiltshire. This follows the success of the Bath Breakfast Exchange series which launched earlier this year and has since become highly popular.
The idea behind the event series is to support businesses through challenging times. Exchange is in the title as it’s all about sharing experience, knowledge and skillsets to help our community survive and thrive.
The format of the event is relaxed networking over teas, coffees, juices and a light breakfast, followed by a panel session with guest speakers from the local area, supported by experts from Thrings and Richardson Swift to answer any questions attendees might have around business growth and current challenges.
The inaugural Wiltshire event is taking place on Tuesday 4th July at The Old Bell Hotel in Malmesbury and will put the spotlight on two star spangled independent businesses as America celebrates Independence Day.
Dylan Watkins – Founder of Poppy’s Picnic
Dylan and his Chief Executive Dog, Poppy, launched Poppy’s Picnic in 2016 to make it easy for people to feed their dogs a raw food diet the way natured intended. Since then, the brand has grown in popularity winning 10 national and regional awards and over a thousand 5-star reviews. In 2018, Dylan and Poppy appeared on BBC 2’s Dragons’ Den receiving four offers and has since been featured on Channel 4’s Come Dine With Me and on ITV’s This Morning.
Poppy’s Picnic is stocked in independent pet shops throughout the UK, online and in Hong Kong.
Charity Nichols – Founder of Green Pioneer – A European distributor of design-led sustainable lifestyle products
Green Pioneer is a distribution company focused on bringing stylish, ethical products to the European retail market. It focuses on products that are:
- Designed to reduce waste and encourage reuse
- Eco-friendly cleaning alternatives to harsh chemicals
- Made from sustainable materials such as bamboo, jute or organic cotton
- Made from recycled and upcycled materials
Green Pioneer is the sole European distributor for most of the brands it represents and supplies to retailers in over 20 countries from Iceland to Greece.
Both Dylan and Charity will share their business journeys so far and plans for growth.
The Independence Day theme is particularly apt as The Old Bell Hotel is owned by Texan’s Kim and Whit Hanks (pictured above). The American investors bought the 13th Century Hotel in 2021 which was once home to Whit’s ancestor Walter Hanks, a pioneering Malmesbury industrialist.
ABOUT THE BREAKFAST
The morning will begin with networking over teas, coffees and an Independence Day themed breakfast from 8am. At 8.30am the panel session will begin.
Experts from Richardson Swift and Thrings will be on hand to share their knowledge and advice as part of the panel discussion and throughout the morning.
