As a mark of respect, Thamesdown Transport has announced that its buses will stop for two minutes at 11.00 on Armistice Day, Friday November 11 and for two minutes at 11.00 on Remembrance Sunday, November 13.

Buses due to depart between 11.00 and 11.02 will wait until 11.02.  Buses already en route will wait at the nearest bus stop, providing it is safe to do so.

Peter Oliver, commercial director for Thamesdown Transport, said: “As a mark of respect to those who have lost their lives in past and current conflicts across the globe, we are asking passengers to join us in marking two minutes’ silence on Armistice Day and Remembrance Sunday.

“Where safe to do so, our drivers will be stopping for two minutes.  We hope passengers join us in this time of remembrance and reflection.”
