Systemagic celebrate a successful 2014

This year has been one of change and innovation for the Systemagic team who marked their 15th anniversary with an office move and several new recruits.

It was back in 1999 when Systemagic was created by entrepreneur Mike Wood. The company grew steadily providing business and domestic IT support and website development.

While still a young enterprise, Mike took on a junior technician James Eades who quickly rose through the company and took over as managing director when Mike retired.

Soon after, James decided his team should specialise in high quality, proactive IT support. Systemagic also expanded to a satellite office in Trowbridge and moved the headquarters to a manor house at Waterhouse, Monkton Combe, near Bath.

In James’ first year at the helm of Systemagic the company achieved an 85% growth in net profit. He maintained the momentum to achieve similar in subsequent years along with annual growth in turnover of between 15 and 30% year on year.

For 2015, the team intend to grow the business still further and will continue to take on more staff and support apprenticeships.

James’ ethos is to provide holistic technical support. He’s built up a team who are understanding, responsive and flexible. They explain their services in plain English.

Systemagic also offers a 30-day rolling contract service where customers are not tied in to a contract for long periods. James feels this motivates him and his team to perform consistently well.

James said: “I hope other businesses in Wiltshire are looking forward to the new year as much as we are at Systemagic. We are growing and expanding because we offer excellent customer service and are on hand 24/7. We also embrace being part of the business community in Wiltshire and in Bath.”

This year, James was highly commended as a finalist in the director of the year award in the south west awards for the Institute of Directors.

Systemagic won the Micro Employer of the Year title in the Bristol and Bath Apprentice Awards. James is also looking forward to Christmas and the New Year for personal reasons – he’s about to become a dad for the first time.
