Swindon’s week-long celebration of tech starts today

The inaugural Tech Swindon Summit 2020 starts today, Monday 2nd November, kicking off a packed week-long schedule of virtual events.

The Summit is being opened by Paddy Bradley, CEO of Swindon & Wiltshire Local Enterprise Partnership at 10am, with a roundtable of business leaders reflecting on the experiences of the last year and discussing learnings of 2020 alongside plans for a brighter future.

The panel is drawn from some of the region’s most innovative organisations and gives an amazing insight into the breadth of work which is happening on our doorstep. Panellists include:

  • Ailsa Kennedy-Ballard, Head of Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund Future Programmes, UKRI
  • Shahina Johnson MBE, CEO, Create Studios
  • Ramona Maye, Director of Payments, Nationwide
  • Peter Allen, General Manager, Catalent

There are 25 separate events planned across the week with a superb lineup of speakers including, ComptiaBT,  BCS, Intel and City Fibre.  The events cover a multitude of topics, bringing opinions and dialogue to the forefront on all things tech in our region. From sessions on developing a talent pipelinesuccessful pitch strategies through to understanding more about mental health.
