Swindon’s UK SBS appoints property manager

Shared business services mutual, UK SBS, has appointed Joanne Kimber BSc MRICS as Property Manager, responsible for leading the strategic property management of its public sector clients. Joanne is a practised Chartered Surveyor with 25 years experience in both the corporate and consultancy sectors. Prior to joining UKSBS, Joanne was an associate director with international corporate real estate consultancy CBRE. In this capacity she led the TSB Bank’s estates team in managing over 600 retail and office properties for the newly formed bank.

Joanne has acquired a strong track record in providing cost savings on the property portfolios she manages. Previous experience includes estates management combined with work related to landlord and tenant, rating and valuation, working for organisations such as mobile telecoms company Orange, and real estate company Royal LePage in Canada.

The Property Asset Management (PAM) division of UK SBS works for the public sector and uses Government’s property assets to drive efficiencies and generate significant savings. A core function is estate management and its portfolio includes the fourth largest property estate within government – 253,000 m2 of property occupied by over21,000BIS (Department for Business Innovation and Skills) and partner organisation employees.
