By Anita Jaynes on 14 January, 2019

The Techies 2019 has opened for entries following the success of last year’s inaugural awards.

The awards scheme is a Business Exchange initiative supported by the Swindon & Wiltshire Local Enterprise Partnership (SWLEP) as headline sponsor. The Techies has been designed to celebrate the innovation and entrepreneurialism of the local IT community bringing together the area’s finest talent.

The awards were launched at a special breakfast hosted at The Workshed – Swindon’s new work space and co-working hub on Thursday January 10, 2019. Thirty people gathered to find out more about the awards, hearing from some of the judges on what they are looking for, what makes a good entry and the importance of choosing the right category for you. Fiona Scott of Fiona Scott Media Consultancy also talked about the PR benefits of entering, being shortlisted and winning awards.
