Sadly Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce (responsible for running Swindon Chamber), have announced that their chief executive, Paul Briggs passed away peacefully in a hospice after a period of illness.
Head of PR and Communications for Thames Valley Chamber, Ginette Gower said: “Our thoughts are with his wife, Christina and his family at this difficult time. If you wish to send a message of condolence please post to the Chamber’s office in Slough and we will pass them onto Christina.
“We would like to take this opportunity to pay tribute to the years of service that Paul gave to Thames Valley Chamber and the legacy of success he worked so hard to achieve. A full tribute will be published in the August/ September edition of The Business Exchange.
“Chamber business will continue as normal and the senior management team has complete support of the board to manage all activities for the foreseeable future.”
Editor of The Business Exchange Anita Jaynes said: “Reflecting on the times that I have met Paul personally at networking events, he was always highly approachable and incredibly passionate about helping businesses grow locally. Several messages have appeared in the TBE inbox commenting on the sad loss. Our thoughts are with his family.”
