Swindon and Wiltshire’s Most Inspiring Women 2024 | Hannah Edwards

By Nick Batten on 14 March, 2024

To mark International Women’s Day 2024, which takes place every year on 8th March, we’re celebrating some of Swindon and Wiltshire’s most inspiring women.

Through our website and social media channels, we asked our readers which women in our community inspire them and created a list of 20. The list will be printed in our spring magazine and from Friday 1st March, every weekday throughout the month we are profiling and championing each of these fantastic women online and via our social feeds.

Today we put the spotlight on Hannah Edwards…

Hannah is the Founder of Swindon-based Empowered VA Services, a virtual assistant and social media marketing company that was established in 2017. With a background in care and customer service, Hannah knows how important it is to ensure that the client is at the forefront of everything which is why she chooses to support small businesses to grow. Hannah’s client base ranges from those in PR to property management to hypnotherapy and commercial cleaning companies.

As Hannah’s business is virtual, she has been able to work with small businesses in the US and Switzerland as well as all over the UK.

Just recently she was chosen by Theo Paphitis to join the #SBS community in his Small Business Sunday competition on Twitter and Instagram.

Hannah said, “Being voted one of Swindon and Wiltshire’s top 20 inspiring women in 2024 is the highlight of running my business. It’s an honour to be in the company of some other amazing women who have done great things in their industries.

“International Women’s Day is important for me because it shows that things are being done to promote more equality between the genders. There is still a long way to go, and I think that’s why we should still be celebrating the day. It’s an opportunity to celebrate those women in our lives who have supported us in our journey.”

Goughs Solicitors are proud sponsors of this feature. Goughs have a strong female team and work with many female business owners across the area. The team are getting behind this feature as it’s a great opportunity to celebrate the achievements of women in our community.
