SWBF raise over 3K for children’s hospice with sponsored walk

On the 4th May the team at Corsham-based South West Business Finance (SWBF) walked the Bristol to Bath railway path (15.3 miles) to raise money in support of the work done by the Children’s Hospice South West and their hospices in Devon, Cornwall and Somerset.

The whole team (including the office dog Digby) endured sore feet and blisters to complete the walk in five hours. The firm was overwhelmed by the support and sponsorship it received, raising over £3000.

Dan Smith, Managing Director of SWBF said, “Thank you to everyone who supported us and a big well done to the team for completing the challenge. We were lucky with the weather but by the look of some tired faces (and feet) we were all glad to get to the pub to enjoy a drink to celebrate what we achieved for such a good cause.”

He added, “Planning is now in the making for the next charity event. Any ideas would be gratefully received.”
