Leading Swindon independent estate agent, Castles Residential Sales & Lettings, continued to grow in 2016, despite adverse trading conditions.

Lettings at the business grew rapidly, taking the total number of rented properties Castles have managed to over 220.
Castles also celebrated its second anniversary in its Commercial Road, Swindon premises and welcomed its latest recruit, sales consultant Charlotte Cornwall.

Now with 19 staff, the company is larger than it has ever been, having grown almost five-fold since it was established in 2002. The Castles’ team now comprises:

· Six letting staff
· Two valuations staff
· Nine sales staff
·  Two directors

Mark Noble, managing director at Castles said: “Last year presented a number of significant challenges. However, we grew our team with some exceptional new talent and launched our new website, complete with its online valuation calculator. Much of our success in 2016 was down to our people understanding the evolving nature of the property market and helping our clients take advantage of new opportunities.”

With 331 customer reviews on, Castles enjoys an overall customer rating of 4.8 out of 5. The business is ranked 79 out of 15,032 UK estate agents and first among sales and letting agents in Swindon as of 4 January 2017.

It was handpicked by Cartus, the world’s premier provider of relocation services as Swindon’s only relocation agent and was selected for memberships with The Guild of Professional Estate Agents and The Relocation Agent Network.

The company won the Wiltshire Small Business of the Year award in 2007 and The Relocation Agent Network’s Best Agent regional award for Wiltshire in 2011 and 2012. In 2014, Castles finished runner-up and received a commendation in the latter award.

Castles won two awards at the 2015 allAgents Awards. The company took home the prizes for the best sales agent and the bestlettings agent in Swindon.
